Nancy’s Diary

Dear Diary,

Today there was little progress. We did find a shoe that had the initials A.L. on them near the fake real-estate building.  Maybe Anthony is using it for something other than a realty office.  Bess and George and I drove the shoe to the police, and they found Anthony’s fingerprint.  They might be able to trace him, but I doubt it, since the shoe is such little evidence.

Sincerely,

ND

Nancy’s Diary

Dear Diary,

A lot of progress on the mystery today!  When we got home, Hannah told us that there had been a robbery!  When I asked her why she didn’t tell me about it, she said she hadn’t wanted to worry me, which was sensible, I guess.  Well, some house deeds have been stolen!  The robber was glimpsed by Miranda, the girl who owned the house.  The robber is short and stocky, just like Mrs. Oakley’s realtor!  I went over to Miranda’s house, and she told me something amazing: Anthony Lane is her realtor! She also said that she had refused to sell her house at the low price he had suggested, would this have triggered an angry response? Well, time for dinner, Hannah is making my favorite!

Hungrily,

Nancy

Nancy’s Diary

Dear Diary,

Oh, it is alright! Ned wasn’t going on a date! He was talking to someone related to the mystery! After George (she is s0 daring) confronted Ned, he told us all  about Amber, the girl he was meeting with.  She also had Anthony Lane as her realtor! It turns out that she was forced to sell her beautiful house for an extremely low price to some suspicious buyers.  She said her house was built during the Civil War, and that there might even be secret passages! I think that the buyers bought the house for something bad. A meeting house? A way to the house next door? Amber had said that her old neighbor is very rich.  This mystery is getting very confusing.  Well, I better start packing, we leave in three hours!

Quickly,

Nancy’s Diary

Dear Diary,

Today I write in earnest, for something terrible has happened! I was doing some window shopping with the girls, looking through all the Emerson shops.  When we walked by Vincent’s Diner I saw Ned-and another girl! They were sitting at the table, talking to each-other.  Is Ned cheating? How could he? I thought, well nevermind.  The girls noticed my attitude and tried to cheer me up.  I think they also saw Ned.  Tomorrow is our last day at Emerson, what will I do?

Wonderingly,

Nancy’s Diary

Dear Diary,

We went on a triple date today!  It was so fun, and I almost forgot the mystery! Almost.  We went to a place called Ramsey’s Diner, and it was really fancy! Then we went to a really big mall, right off campus.  We bought some things, and then I saw someone take my picture!  I quickly told Ned, and we raced after the suspect.  Ned is a superb runner, and caught up to the man in an instant.  I soon followed, with the others close behind. The man struggled to get away, but just when he was about to, Burt and Dave gripped him, and their combined force held him down.  He denied everything!  I noticed a bag that was slung around his shoulder, and grabbed it away.  He yelled at me, saying that I had to give it back, but I had already gotten a camera out of the tote.  I turned it on, and looked at the pictures.  They were of me!  The man knew his game was up.  He kept screaming though, and soon a police guard walked over.  “What’s the racket,” he said, annoyed.  He must have been taking a lunch break, which we had interrupted.  We told him all abou t it, and he saw the pictures.  He told us he we take the man in, and we watched as the man who had taken my picture was carried away.  We spent the rest of the day shopping, eating, and having fun.  No day seems to go by without excitement!

Sincerely,

Nancy

Diary Entry

Dear Diary,

Today was an exciting day! After taking off at 5:30 a.m., I picked up Bess and George. Then we started our route to Emerson. Secretly, George told me that she thought someone was following us! She told me not to worry Bess, and I honored her request.  When we later stopped at a restaurant, our suspicions were affirmed when the car parked next to us. We all walked in, and later I saw a man follow. We decided to tell Bess, since we would have to lose the man. As we guessed, she was frightened. We told her that we knew what to do, although we had no idea. Finally, I devised a plan that we would stay at a hotel for the night. We left, one by one, and drove on towards the Rosemary Hotel.  The next day was uneventful, and we got to Emerson College with no further trouble, which is good, cause I am tired, and am sure the others are too!

Sleepily,

Nancy

Diary Entry 4

Dear Diary,for the

Tomorrow, I am going to Emerson.  But today I got a lot of clues. I asked Mrs. Oakley for her realtor’s card.  When she gave me the card, I looked at the address and decided that was my next destination.  I drove in my convertible to the address, but when I came there, it said that the business had moved. I walked over and asked a nearby person if he knew where the business had moved too.  He told me it was now in the mall, so I drove to the River Heights Mall, and inquired where the business was.  They told me thay had never heard of it! I walked around anyway, but did not see anything that would help.  After calling and reporting to Mrs. Oakley, who was astounded at the news, I drove home for dinner and to pack.

Wonderingly, (again?)
